Advantages & special features “Lagos”

The housekeeping industry is running out of skilled workers. The art of professionally making beds is gradually disappearing. With our fitted sheet called Lagos, the hotel guest will still find an impeccable bed.

Mattress covering made easy

Trained housekeepers are becoming rare. For years, the sector has been lacking skilled personnel and the Corona pandemic has further aggravated the situation. There are now many unskilled workers in the hotel industry who – literally – lack obvious skills. The professional covering of beds is one of them. Yet a smooth, freshly made bed is the calling card of every single hotel room. Our fitted sheet Lagos allows us to make sure that the guest does not have to do without it. Lagos is in place on the mattress in a few easy steps and is smoothed out in no time. This way, the bed looks neat and tidy even if a guest stays for several days.

Clever way of working

Lagos is a lightweight (155 g/m²) knitted fabric with a clever structure: The stitches are formed by two threads, one regular on the front and the other on the back of the fabric. We have used the so-called plating process to combine cotton and polyester in an ideal way: the natural fibre forms the top of Lagos. So the guest is in fact lying on cotton, which provides a pleasant feeling on the skin. On the other hand, the polyester stitches are on the underside. They give the fitted sheet stability and a low tendency to pilling. The special way of manufacturing has two further, decisive advantages: it prevents the loops from being pulled out and is very resistant to the formation of holes.

Lagos is therefore particularly durable even under heavy use and frequent laundering! We offer our best seller as standard for all bed types in two standing heights – 35 cm for mattress heights up to 25 cm and as “Lagos Plus” with 45 cm for mattresses up to 35 cm high. Both versions are available in the sizes 100 x 200, 160 x 200 and 200 x 200 cm.

We also realise custom-made products with recycled polyester for corresponding purchase quantities. Lagos carries the Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex and is available with the sustainability certificates “Green Button” as well as “Made in Green”.
